A Little Bit About Us
Cedar Hill Gardens started with one garden, a love for growing food, and a whole lot of learning along the way.
As Seen On
How Cedar Hill Gardens Started
I never intended to start a business. I started gardening during COVID when I was home with two kids under two, looking for a way to get outside, move my body, and do something that made me feel good. Then my kids started eating from the garden, and there was something so fulfilling about growing food for my family.
That’s also where my love for organic gardening began. I wanted to know exactly what I was putting on the food we were growing for our kids.
At the end of 2021, a friend asked me to help set up her garden. Then her mom wanted a garden. Then her cousins wanted one. Before I knew it, I had formed an LLC and was figuring out how to run a business along the way.
Today, we’re a team of six gardening moms who have built more than 100 gardens across Mississippi.
More Than Just Building Gardens
Over the years, Cedar Hill Gardens has grown from outdoor garden construction into coaching and education, too.
We don’t want to come in, make your garden beautiful, and leave you wondering what to do next. We want to teach you how to care for it, understand what’s growing, and feel confident figuring things out along the way.
The goal is simple: help you learn how to grow food for your family and friends.
Meet Your Gardeners
During consults, I like to tell clients, “I didn’t know how to garden before I started gardening!” It seems so simple it’s almost comical but it’s true. Each one of our staff started their own gardening journey for a different reason and at a different stage of life. We’ve been in your shoes and know how much fun awaits you as you learn.
